Store it in a sealed container, somewhere cool and dark, away from heat, light,
and moisture. That is the whole secret.
Coffee is at its best in the first few weeks after roasting. Buy what you will drink
in about a month, and keep the bag closed between uses. Skip the fridge and
freezer, since the moisture there dulls the flavor.
If you grind your own, whole beans hold their freshness a little longer than pre-
ground. Either way, a sealed bag in the cupboard does the job.
